Chipolbrok, a notable joint venture between Chinese and Polish interests specializing in multipurpose and heavylift vessels, has placed a significant order with Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery (ZPMC). This order, representing a major development for the ZPMC shipyard, includes the construction of up to four new vessels, comprised of two firm orders and two additional options.

The vessels, each with a deadweight tonnage (dwt) of 38,000, are set to feature advanced cargo handling capabilities, including three 250-ton cranes. This design specification underscores the commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and versatility in heavylift and multipurpose shipping. Details regarding the financial terms and precise delivery schedules for these newbuilds have not yet been disclosed. However, the order signifies a strategic expansion of Chipolbrok’s fleet, aligning with its ongoing efforts to reinforce its position in the global maritime industry. The addition of these vessels is expected to bolster Chipolbrok’s ability to undertake a broader range of shipping assignments, reflecting both the company’s growth ambitions and ZPMC’s capacity for high-value maritime construction projects.
