Capital Gas Ship Management Corp. (‘Capital Gas’) has successfully taken delivery of three new LNG carriers—"Assos," "Apostolos," and "Aktoras"—from Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea. These sister vessels, each boasting a cargo capacity of 174,000 cubic meters, exemplify the pinnacle of efficiency and technological advancement in the LNG shipping sector.

Equipped with MAN MEGA engines, these vessels incorporate state-of-the-art technologies, including an air lubrication system, shaft generators, and increased filling limits exceeding 99%. These features position the ships at the forefront of next-generation LNG carriers, setting new industry standards for environmental sustainability. Notably, the carriers are designed to significantly minimize methane slip and reduce CO2 emissions, establishing them as the most eco-efficient vessels in the global fleet. The addition of "Assos," "Apostolos," and "Aktoras" brings Capital Gas closer to its goal of enhancing its fleet, as these are part of an order for eighteen LNG carriers scheduled for delivery between 2020 and 2027.
