Nereus Shipping, a prominent Greek maritime company and affiliate of CM Lemos, has expanded its orderbook with the addition of three new suezmax tankers. These vessels, each with a deadweight of 158,600 tons, are set to be constructed by Japan Marine United and will join the company's fleet in 2027.
The Piraeus-based firm, primarily engaged in the operation of tankers and bulk carriers, currently manages a fleet of 14 vessels, including 11 tankers. This latest order underscores Nereus Shipping’s ongoing strategy to enhance its operational capacity and maintain a competitive edge in the global shipping industry, particularly in the crude oil transportation sector.
