Longship Group has announced significant milestones in its fleet development, furthering its commitment to sustainable shipping. The company recently took delivery of the “GS Eco-Freighter 3700” vessels, LONGSUN and LONGSKY, from GS Projects and Ship and Steelbuilding (SaS) in Waterhuizen. Both vessels are now operational under a three-year time charter agreement. In addition to these recent deliveries, Longship Group has placed an order for two more eco-friendly general cargo vessels, LONGSEA and LONGSTAR. These vessels, also to be constructed by GS Projects and SaS in Waterhuizen, are designed to enhance fuel efficiency and reduce environmental impact. Scheduled for delivery in the second and third quarters of 2025, respectively, both vessels will operate under a five-year time charter and sail under the Dutch flag. Further expanding its fleet, Longship Group anticipates the delivery of LONGEARTH from Atlas Shipyard in Turkey in January 2025. This vessel will join LONGERA and LONGEON in featuring a diesel-electric propulsion system and optimized hull design to minimize fuel use. The addition of LONGEARTH represents another step in Longship Group's strategy to expand its sustainable fleet while reducing carbon emissions.
