Zhoushan Qifan Shipbuilding Co Ltd i established by Shanghai Huitong Shipping Co Ltd with a registered capital of 67.5 million yuan ( investment of approximately 100 million yuan) covering an area of 37729 square meters and with a building area of approximately 4000 square meters and a coastline of 300 meters. The main business of the company is the construction and repair of ships, with two 20000 ton shipways; Two 10000 ton shipways; One 10000 ton outfitting dock. Since its establishment, the company has undertaken the construction of steel vessels of various tonnage levels for nearly 20 coastal shipping enterprises, including various chemical tankers, oil tankers, engineering ships, deck barges, suction dredgers, vehicle passenger roll on/roll off ships, bulk carriers, etc. Two 6500 ton bulk carriers were built and delivered in June 2005; one vehicle passenger roll on/roll off ship was built and delivered in May 2006; two 7000 cubic meter suction dredgers were built and delivered in May 2006; one 12600 ton CCS classified product oil/chemical ship was built and delivered in May 2006; and one was built and delivered in June 2007.
