Purus Marine has expanded its fleet of medium-sized gas carriers with the recent order of two additional vessels from Hyundai Mipo Dockyard. These newly commissioned ships, each with a capacity of 45,000 cubic meters, bring Purus Marine's total number of gas carriers on order at the South Korean shipyard to six. The expansion follows Purus Marine's initial order in May of last year, when the company secured contracts for four gas carriers at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard. These original vessels are scheduled for delivery between 2025 and 2026. At that time, Purus Marine also secured options for two more vessels, which have now been exercised.

The latest vessels are priced at approximately $74.5 million each.
