building innovative vessels, including the first membrane-type
LNG carrier constructed in Asia.
Design facilities
HJSC has established full design facilities, which enable the
company to take a design from concept to completion, utilising
both physical and computational models.
Construction facilities
HJSC’s Busan facility has a maximum annual capacity of 900K
DWT. The maximum size of vessel that can be built is limited by
the dry dock's 150K DWT capacity.
HJSC’s facility at Yeongdo (Busan) is currently building naval
ships but is also gearing up for some commercial export vessels.more

The yard covers an area of approximately 300,000 square meters and has a total of four dry docks, with the largest being 400 meters in length.
