SML Shipyard started in 1988 as a Ship Repair Division of Sembawang Maritime Limited then, a public listed company in Singapore. We were incorporated in December 1994 as SML Shipyard Pte Ltd and had evolved from a service provider to the Group’s considerable fleet of offshore equipment, cruise vessels and ferries to an ISO 9002 accredited medium size yard undertaking all types of commercial and defence related work. In May 1992 we became a part of Sembcorp Marine Ltd, a public listed company in Singapore. As a result of reorganisation within the Sembcorp Marine Group, SML Shipyard and Atlantis Shipyard were merged it’s ship repair / conversion and new building operations. We now have the synergy and flexibility to handle larger projects. The company have since emerged as a market leader in specialized repairs, refit, and conversion of small and medium sized vessels. Our list of track record includes: Passenger Ships / Yachts, Dredgers, Offshore Equipment / Barges, Purseiners / Fishing Vessels, Drillship, Offshore Supply Vessel and Anchor Handling Tugs, Product / Chemical Tankers, and LPG / LNG Tankers. The group also draws on its strong ship building track records and had completed in recent years, a number of quality new buildings for local, overseas markets, including the world largest floating platforms for NDP in 2007, Fast Patrol Boats for Indonesian police, Harbour Tugs, and award winning Bunker Tankers for a middle east client. Following a major upgrading of the Tuas and Benoi facilities, Jurong SML had expanded its offshore fabrication work and increase steel throughput. The installation of a 200 tons gantry crane at Tuas yard and the erection of new 12 tons tower crane with 80 meters reach improved capability to process multiple jack up modules and accommodation units.更多信息
