Østensjø Rederi has announced the signing of a significant shipbuilding contract with the Spanish shipyard, GONDAN Shipbuilders - Astilleros Gondán, marking a pivotal advancement in the company's ongoing modernization initiatives. The agreement entails the construction of a state-of-the-art Ocean Energy Support Vessel, aimed at enhancing Østensjø Rederi's fleet capabilities within the offshore energy sector.

The new vessel is designed to undertake a diverse range of offshore operations, reinforcing the company’s commitment to versatility and efficiency. Key capabilities include Inspection, Maintenance, and Repair (IMR), construction tasks, walk-to-work and flotel services, as well as cable laying operations. The vessel’s design prioritizes adaptability, allowing it to serve across multiple oceanic segments with operational flexibility.
