Maersk Supply Service has secured a significant contract from Cenovus Energy to provide a new Field Support Vessel for operations in the White Rose Field, offshore Canada. This advanced vessel, set to be constructed by Crist S.A. at their shipyard in Gdynia, Poland, will be delivered in 2027.
The 110-meter-long vessel, based on the MMC Ship Design & Marine Consulting Ltd. 995L SBC hull, is designed to meet the demanding requirements of offshore field support operations. The ship will feature DP3 dynamic positioning for enhanced station-keeping capabilities and an ice-class hull, making it suitable for operations in harsh environments, such as the North Atlantic. Additionally, the vessel will be equipped with a walk-to-work gangway, allowing personnel to transfer safely between the vessel and offshore installations.
With a capacity to house 164 personnel (POB), this new vessel is expected to play a critical role in supporting Cenovus Energy's ongoing projects at the White Rose Field. This contract represents another milestone in Maersk Supply Service’s commitment to delivering state-of-the-art solutions for offshore energy operations.
