Eidesvik Offshore has marked a significant milestone in the development of its new Construction Support Vessel (CSV) with the recent steel-cutting ceremony at Sefine Shipyard in Turkey. This event signifies the official commencement of construction for the next-generation vessel, which is poised to set new standards in environmental sustainability within the maritime industry.

The upcoming CSV will be specifically designed to serve the subsea and offshore wind sectors, offering advanced capabilities for inspection, maintenance, and repair operations. One of the vessel’s standout features is its dual-fuel methanol engines, complemented by a battery hybrid system. These innovative technologies will make it the most eco-friendly vessel within its operating categories, reflecting Eidesvik’s commitment to sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint.

Eidesvik has partnered with Agalas to bring this project to fruition. The collaboration aims to deliver a state-of-the-art vessel that will contribute to the growing demand for greener solutions in the subsea and offshore wind industries.

As construction progresses, the vessel is expected to represent a significant leap forward in environmentally-conscious maritime operations, further strengthening Eidesvik’s leadership in pioneering sustainable technologies for the offshore sector.
