In recent updates, it has been reported that the Container Carrier, MAERSK SANTANA (IMO: 9289934), encountered an engine failure off the northern coast of California, USA on January 30, 2024.

The vessel is presently under tow by tugboats, heading towards Constance Bank Anchorage in Canada for inspection and potentially needed repairs.
