Swedish tanker shipping company Donsötank is set to expand its fleet with the addition of a new dual-fuel 22,500 DWT oil and chemical tanker. Scheduled for construction at Wuhu Shipyard, this state-of-the-art vessel is expected to be delivered in mid-2027. The new tanker will be the fifth in its series, joining sister ships Prospero and Pacifico, along with two other vessels currently under construction.

This new addition reinforces Donsötank's commitment to delivering exceptional service to its customers while prioritizing environmental sustainability. The vessel will feature dual-fuel propulsion systems (LNG-LBG/Diesel), a 500 kWh battery pack, shore power connection, SCR-Catamiser, and a waste heat recovery system, all designed to minimize the environmental footprint.Donsötank places significant importance on creating a safe and comfortable working environment for its crew, recognizing that their expertise and dedication are crucial to maintaining high standards and meeting customer expectations.

The main particulars of the vessel include a deadweight of 22,500 MT, a cargo capacity of 27,800 CBM, a length overall (LOA) of 167 meters, a beam of 26.5 meters, and a draft of 9.4 meters. The cargo tanks will be specially coated to safely load a wide range of cargoes, including bioproducts, biofuels, animal fats, and other emerging commodities.
